As a B2B copywriter, I conceive and write marketing material that meets the needs of industrial manufacturers while communicating their brand promise and value. I write both internal (staff newsletters, announcements, facility signage, etc.) and external messaging. At this non-profit education institution focusing on early childhood education and development, I wrote marketing material that communicated Erikson Institute’s mission to donors, potential students, stakeholders, and the public. I also was responsible for taking part in fundraising planning and messaging in conjunction with the Institutional Advancement team. Volunteered at this non-profit that has a mission to help vulnerable individuals stabilize their lives through housing and supportive services. Our family has volunteered at overnight shelters where we serve meals, conduct general housekeeping, set up sleeping quarters, stock and clean the kitchen, and talk with clients.

Midwest Labrador Retriever Rescue, 2018-present

My family has volunteered extensively with this non-profit dedicated to finding loving, permanent homes for unwanted or abandoned Labrador retrievers. We have fostered many Labs (and adopted three!), trained them, loved them, and helped them find forever homes. We also help raise funds, collect donations, and participate in volunteer outreach and events.
