I have acquired excellent skills working with the geriatric population for the last thirtey-five years. Working in a 99-bed skilled nursing facility and in the largest Assisted Living Facility in Nevada County. I have accomplished expanding my knowledge in many aspects of the geriatric health care field. I have specialized anywhere from a Certified Nursing Assistant to running the rehab department then on to becoming the Social Service Designee. I have work with an interdisciplinary team planning, coordinating programs to meet the creative, social and recreational and psycho-social needs of the residents. I have the rehabilitative knowledge and history of training staff on fall prevention and recovery to ensuring the residents safety and comfort. I spent the last twelve years working for Eskaton starting as a Residential Resident Care Assistant working up to the lead Medication Assistant to the lead of their health service department. In that time, I have accepted the new challenges of, assisting the Resident Care Coordinator and previous Administration with assessments, and in the training and retraining of staff, to creating the Residents Register with continuous updating of it. I have also assisted the Lead RCA with inputting Physicians orders, progress and event notes. I have assisted and communicated with other disciplines, such as Hospice on plan of care for the residents. I have also worked in the California Grange program and have experience being a group leader. I believe my years of a combined experience working with the elderly with behavioral, physical issues would uniquely qualify me for the position which you currently have an opening. I have letters of recommendations from Registered nurse, ombudsman and excellent evaluations from the current and past RCC’s. consideration.
