DIRECTOR FOR AFRICA STEM CELL RESEARCH INSTITUTE

I have a 24 year old son who was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 2. We were told we would need to put him in a home as his brain would never develop beyond 2 years old. I traveled the world seeking therapies and help as there was not much out there 24 years ago. The law firm I work with allowed me as partner to work remotely as my clients refused to give me up when I informed them of my desire to focus on helping my son with his autism.

I did stem cell therapy in Frankfurt, Germany with my son, attended training programs to help me work with my son and his therapists we traveled and lived with for years. I started a foundation in his name to help the less fortunate in Africa get therapy for children, teens, adults on the spectrum and introduced ASAP group from South Africa and the SonRise Program to countless families.

Today my son is in college studying Business management, Graphic design and we are raising funds from investors for his company that designs and manufactures super hero suits and figures. He lives in his own apartment in Deerfield.

Though I am still a silent partner at Templars, I find myself not giving my experience ( which continues) in bringing people together for a common goal and good.

I decided to live in Florida 20 years ago so I could have full access to all the special needs, foods, homeopathic doctors, therapists etc that my son needed.

I believe that with my experience and legal skill, I would be able to handle this position and bring positive impact to the ultimate goal of your esteemed institution to save lives. I have had first hand experience in not knowing where to turn and feeling hopeless. I have learned how to bring people together, negotiate, appeal, make presentations in a goal to bring hope, joy and fulfillment of dreams to countless families . I believe said experience is priceless and can be put to good use at Gift of Life.
