I am responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the company; budget planning, and overseeing all financial aspects in conjunction with finance. I liaise with the engineering department on machinery availability and labour is in place as per contractual obligations. We are the major contractor for Mopani Copper Mine, Lubambe, and Munali Nickel for tunnel re-enforcements and support services.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Enormously, I have contributed to team’s success by archiving the set targets as per contract within the agreed time frames. Under my reign, the company managed to get new contracts with Lubambe and Munali Nickel which has led to its revenue growth over the years.

Apr ‘14– Sep 15 Senior Site Manager AAC Mining Executors Kitwe, Zambia

I was responsible for; ensuring that the project achieved the budget/ratios across multiple key performance indicators (Operating Expenses, Profitability, downtime) in line with profit pattern and budgeted targets.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Enormously, I contributed to team success by exceeding team targets by 35%. Under my reign, the business did grow by acquiring new contracts with Mine (Mopan) from 2 sites to 4 sites and made sure that compliance in terms of operations and training were at par with the state regulations and that of the mine.

Sept ‘11- Mar ‘15 Contract Manager Nebutron, South Africa

Oversaw contract flow-down requirements for subcontractors and suppliers and developed compliance policies, documentation, and standard operating procedures. Coordinated logistics and operations through accurate and effective communication. Headed change processes and executed contract modifications, change orders, and agreements within the time frame and budget.

Conducted weekly internal and monthly audits of contract requirements, processes, and mining facilities recommended corrective action in areas of deficiency, and sensibly guided operations managers towards compliance.
