Activities that were developed concerning the IV national inventory for the green house gases for the land use and changes in Brazil. The mapping was made at GIS environment with LANDSAT 5 imagery to compare years 1994, 2002 and 2010 which relate to the last inventory made until now, with the updating for the 2016 LANDSAT 8 imagery. The studies about the acknowledgement of the imagery interpretations had the aid of SatVeg tool by Embrapa made from MODIS sensors, these shows vegetation indexes through EVI (enhanced vegetation index) in time series. The final GIS products were generated for a 1:125000 scale, and the smallest portion of land permitted to map by agreement was 6,25 hectares (15.44409 acres or 6.250 m2).
