Playing a major role in an ongoing huge SAP award winning S4 Greenfield implementation for Novolex, in-charge of their entire Technical ABAP Onshore co-ordination and EDI in-scope.

Hands-on design and development on multiple FRICE Objects across various modules.

USTRANSCOM envisions an enterprise solution that provides the ability to seamlessly plan, order, ship and pay. This solution must also provide the tracking, reporting and visibility capabilities across the transportation life-cycle.

USTRANSCOM is seeking to prototype a robust/scalable Transportation Management (TMS) solution to execute Department of Defense and Federal Government multi-modal, worldwide transportation requirements of material and personnel from planning through payment and audit.

The solution must enable integration with DoD and commercial systems, have system availability of 99.9% and support the ability to scale up to approximately 50,000 users with 30,000 users simultaneously.

As a part of this project, involved in creation of Master Data and other RICEFW objects pertaining to Freight Order and Forwarding Order Management.

Release 1.1 went live in October 2018 with limited TM scope and then Release 1.2 in early July 2019.

SAP ABAP EDI Solutions Architect KOMATSU/JOY GLOBAL Jan 2018 – June 2018

Komatsu, a world leader in heavy equipment machinery, recently purchased Joy Global to set a foothold in the mining industry. This integration also required a lot of their ERP systems to integrate and consolidate many of their trading partners and 3rd party vendors etc.

Ram was the sole techno-functional consultant on the project spearheading the team on this integration role. The EDI integration work involved Transactions 850, 855, 810,856(ASN), 204, 214 and 211 for multiple trading partners involving various continents.

The scope of the project and Ram's role can be briefly summarized as below:

Blueprint configure code and Unit Test all the above-mentioned transactions.

Meet with Business and end-users to gather requirements.

Configure 850 855 and 810 as a part of the initial phase.

Configure 856 204 214 and 211 as a part of the secondary phase.

Set up Ports partner profiles and all related interface work in SAP. Work with Sterling folks and the external partner to convert XML/JASON files into SAP IDOC and vice versa.

SAP IDOC's were used all along in the EDI integration work.

SAP OTC HANA Developer TCS/McKesson PHARMA Aug 2017 - Jan 2018

McKesson Corporation, currently ranked 5th on the FORTUNE 500, is a $193B healthcare services and information technology company dedicated to making the business of healthcare run better.

Part of the Special Projects team, Ram was involved in the CRRB Modernization project, to enhance and revitalize the old Credit and Re-bill OTC system by infusing new HANA technology with an Agile background to enable it to process faster and make it more user-friendly.

Team work with the BI Team to develop SLT landscapes that allows you to load and replicate data in real-time or schedule data from the source system(ECC) into SAP HANA Database. Some of the T-Codes used - LTR and LTRC.

Developed all the queries for SLT to load them into HANA. Utilized the trigger-based replication approach to pass data from source system to target system. SLT server installed on the SAP ECC source System.

Ram was the key and the sole developer to develop all the backend programs (BAPI/IDOC) in the ECC OTC module to integrate with the front end IBM-IDT portal using the JASON Mule-Soft middleware.

Responsible for ABAP development of all the critical PRICING interfaces between existing ECC applications and SAP S/4HANA.

The project was developed using Agile SCRUM methodology and is slated for successful go-live Jan 2018. Currently handling post-production support and knowledge transfer to the in-house team.

Played an integral role on the IVC-US/Commerce Hub/Home Depot roll-out for DOTCOM and SOS(Special Orders) project.

INBOUND - Scope of the Project involves 850's coming from THD(Home Depot) through CHUB into SAP(IVC-US)

OUTBOUND - Sending back 870's/856 and 810's back to CHUB and THD from IVC-US.

This was a remote project for BSN to help them with some of their development work.

•Played an integral role in the ITCS/EX-IM Project, which is a high profile, high visibility GTS initiative to integrate the Export/Import modules with the home grown RGEMS

system.

•Prime focus on developing IDOC interfaces/enhancements (BADI's) and custom ALV reports in GTS Customs & Compliance Management involving Licenses/Agreements etc. to be interfaced with other RAYTHEON ECC systems (APEX/PRISM/RGEMS etc.)

SAP Interface Lead Developer Johnson Controls Inc. Jan’14 – Dec ‘14

Johnson Controls is a global diversified technology and industrial leader serving customers in more than 150 countries with Fiscal Year 2013 global sales at $42.7 billion.

When it comes to managing Energy efficiency/HVAC, be it for the world's tallest building @Bhuj in

Dubai or for the Pentagon, only one name comes to mind - Johnson Controls, ranked No. 67 on U.S.Fortune 500 and No.251 on the Global Fortune 500.

Phase 1 – 3PL – TMS – SAP Rollout for Wichita Plant

•As a part of a 2 member team (1 functional + 1 technical), Ram was entirely responsible for creating and managing all the development objects for JCI/York Controls/UPG in automating their SAP SD/MM-TMS integration with VistaLogix in the Phase 1 go-live for their plant in Wichita, KS.

•The project involved blueprinting/design and development of multiple ALE/EDI/IDOC interfaces between SAP and VistaLogix with Seeburger as a middleware to automate the Delivery/Shipment process.

SAP – TMS integration went live successfully in mid-June 2014 with minimal to no major issues.

Phase 2 – 3PL – TMS – SAP Rollout for Norman Plant – Go-Live Oct 2014

Phase 2 had almost similar functionalities as Phase 1, but with flavors of variation for Norman plant. Additional Transportation Planning Points were added and fields relating to Shipment date and time were updated from TMS into SAP

Both phases achieved the following functionalities:

•Deliveries and ASN’s going out from SAP to TMS – DELVRY03 IDOC with Message Type DESADV(856)

•Shipments coming into SAP from TMS – SHPMNT05 IDOC with Message Type SHPMNT

•Shipment Status getting updated in SAP – TPSSHT01 IDOC with Message Type SHIPPL

•TMS Freight Cost Payment Voucher to Pro-Ship Table in SAP – Custom IDOC

The project involved technical challenges and using various flavors within SAP ABAP – FRICE

including writing a few implicit Enhancement points for the following scenarios:

•VL10 background job was not triggering EDI Output by default.

•Stage Determination for Inbound Shipments was deleting the stages from VTTS

•Offshore co-ordination with the EI(Seeburger) Team to getting all the mapping completed for all the interfaces.

Phase 2 – TMS integration went live successfully in Oct 2014 with no major issues. VistaLogix has been renamed as CLX Logistics and is now part of IBM Sterling group.

Senior SAP Lead Developer Zachry Construction Aug – Dec’13

San Antonio, TX

Zachry Construction is part of an 80 year old Zachry Holdings originally founded by H.B.Zachry and is the largest contractor in the state of Texas. Zachry construction is primarily involved in highway projects that involve constructing highways/bridges/airports among others. Zachry is privately owned, based out of San Antonio and has a turnover around $3 billion.

ERP Business Improvement Initiative

The SAP rollouts at Zachry were termed as Business Improvement Initiatives and were classified as Wave1, 2 and 3.

Wave 1 CRM/BobJ Rollout:

•As the only SAP developer in the CRM team, Ram played an important role in the Wave

1 CRM rollout by developing the key CRM RFC enabled Function Modules for the Pipeline Report that extracts data from CRM and feeds it to BobJ.

•The CRM pipeline report extracts critical CRM data from the Opportunity Table, factory Calendar and Partner tables and feeds it to BobJ. Three RFC enabled function modules were written and data passed real-time to BobJ for user display.

•Wave 1 went live successfully early November 2013 with no major issues.

Wave 2 FI/CO/HR/PY Rollout:

•Ram was a key player in the development team during Wave 2 and was in charge of 6 FICO RICEFW objects. This included both Inbound/Outbound interfaces between various Banks and the client on their day-to-day transactions.

•This includes the Positive Pay interface (FCKR), the Cleared Checks Inbound interface (FCHX/FB05) and the Outbound Interface to a 3rd party provider called CMIS. The banks involved were primarily Chase/BOA/Wells-Fargo and Frost. Some of them required DME formats to be sent to them.

•General Ledger (G/L): Data loads involving G/L account master records, company code segment, chart of accounts, account groups etc.

•The Outbound Interface to CMIS was a complex interface that involved development of 2 ALV reports (Validation & Error report) that allows data to be validated before being extracted as a flat file and sent to CMIS. This interface also involved an FB01 posting into SAP.

•The project generally adopted an ALE/IDOC methodology for all the interfaces (to enable easy maintenance & error handling) with certain exceptions and data was routed through SAP TLE as a middleware platform.

Senior Developer/GTS Consultant Airbus Helicopters Dallas Mar’13 – July’13 Implementation Partners – In house

Airbus Helicopters (formerly Eurocopter) is an A&D client and is the largest manufacturer of helicopters in the world. It is owned by EADS, the same company that owns Airbus. Eurocopter USA implemented a custom 3rd party SAP GTS as part of refining their export/import processes.

As an ongoing part of this huge integration, Ram was involved in the following:

•Single handedly spearheading the ABAP development from a consulting standpoint.

•Involved in configuring and developing all the GTS related code for export/import

process.

•Developed the Item Master Extract, FIFO Extract and the Inventory Balance Extract Outbound for the GTS interface with Integration Point 3rd party bolt-on.

•Working very closely with the 3rd party integration supplier called Integration-Point to deliver the extracts to them in a timely manner.

•Configuring the related FTZ Custom tables for the 3rd party GTS integration.

•Provided mapping expertise using Seeburger, in-house training on SAP ALE/EDI

810,850 and 856(ASN’s).

•Team consists of 1 SAP Functional, 1 SAP technical, BA & Ram (Consulting Lead).

Sr. Technical Integration Consultant E&Y/Caterpillar Global Mining May’12– Feb’13 Milwaukee, WI

Implementation Partners – E&Y

Caterpillar, the world’s largest maker of heavy equipment purchased Bucyrus in 2011 for $9 billion to set foothold in the mining industry and is in the process of integrating the 2 systems. As an ongoing part of this huge integration, Ram was involved in the following:

•Custom IDOC development for Inbound ORDERS involving ANTARES interface into SAP for the Dealer Divestiture project. This involved modifying user exits in MV45AFZZ among other things.

•Various integration areas in the ALE/EDI/IDOC world involving ORDERS (850)/Invoices (810), ASN’s (856) and other file based transactions from/into SAP from various Dealers.

•Extending many of the ALV reports from Caterpillar to Caterpillar Global mining (Formerly Bucyrus) with additional functionalities.

•Developed a custom program to fully automate the Accounting Reversal of an FI/GL Document (using BAPI_ACC_DOCUMENT_POST) and reversal of a reversal (FB08) (using FM – CALL_FB08).

•Creating/modifying several CMOD user exits relating to splitting Transfer Orders in the MM/IM/WM areas of SAP.

•Developed a custom Dealer Statement ALV Report that incorporates VF05 and FB03, SD and FI billing documents, that provides the information about all the open items for that customer in each period range.

•Monitoring IDOC related errors, TLE mapping and educating the E&Y management on solutions to ongoing daily issues.

•Ram was a 3rd party Consulting Team Lead who was hand’s on SAP and mentoring the young E&Y Team from a development standpoint.

SAP America has partnered with Bob’s to develop a Fast-track furniture IS-retail solution that could be prototyped for other furniture companies in future.

Working as a Senior ABAP developer for Bob’s, was involved in the following:

•Part of the SAP Optimization team brought in after go-live to streamline process and fix process and performance related issues in SAP.

•Worked on a Custom Fixed Pricing Solution for Bob’s called Sales Set Substitution, which enables article substitution and re-pricing in the furniture retail industry.

•Worked on a custom warranty solution called Goof-Proof, which provides spill/wear & tear warranty over extended periods of time for merchandise sold in furniture retail.

•Implemented Sales commissions solution for sales rep’s using SAP pricing functionality.

•Implemented OSS Note – 155012 which involved extending SAP Tables (VBAP/KOMP) and subtotal calculation for Vertex using the VOFM pricing Condition Value Routine.

•All of the above mentioned were part of customized solutions in the SAP OTC process that were implemented using User Exits in SAPMV45A (Sales Order user exits).

•Developed a number of customized ALV reports(ZR00 Price Over-ride/Sales Concession Report) and wrote LSMW loads for FI postings (FB01) to enable their quarterly loads etc

•Supported various EDI/IDOC interfaces (80/850/856 etc) to integrate data with Red Prairie, an external WMS.

•Participated in hands on SAP IS-Retail Development and managed a team of 5 developers.

Working as a SAP ABAP Lead developer for W EC – SCM team, was involved in the following:

•Involved in Upgrades/New development of the various RICEFW objects for the SAP ECC 6.0 rollout.

•ETL Development of several objects involving WBS elements(CJ11/12), Purchasing Contracts (ME31K), Purchase Info Records (ME11) and Source Lists (ME01) for data loads between SAP 4.7 and 6.0, using BDC, BAPI, LSMW and traditional ABAP.

•Worked on several enhancements (CMOD/SMOD) for adding a new Customer Data Tab to Purchase Req. (ME51n) for incorporating several fields into EBAN Table.

•Developed and modified existing and new ALV reports, some for conversion purposes and others for end-users. Some of the reports are UOM conversion report, Vendor Analysis report and report for Open commitments in SCM.

•Used SAP SOLMAN and HP-QC extensively for audit control and defect management.

•Managed the entire off-shore SAP Team (from Argentina) for development and finally took over the entire work load from them.
