PROFESSIONAL COLLEGE OF DUPAGE, Glen Ellyn, Illinois

EXPERIENCE: Junior College with enrollment of over 5000 students

Biological Laboratory Assistant 2013-Present

Responsible for maintenance and preparation of microbiology labs, testing of chemicals, inoculations, autoclaving, and the preparation of chemicals including, but not limited to, citrates, agar, broths, mrvp and sim. This job was taken to support myself while seeking a full time paralegal position.

Please note: The gap between employment at Schiff Hardin LLP in 2009 to present was filled with both legal contract work and full time schooling in the medical field. Immediately after leaving Schiff Hardin after 20+ years I had been doing contract work before deciding to attend a medical program in cardiovascular sonography. While attending classes I was employed as a biological laboratory assistant to help defray tuition costs. After my medical training I decided to return back to the legal field since I found the work much more interesting. For this reason I am circulating copies of my resume. I believe an employer will find both my educational background and work experience quite impressive.
