AS A SENIOR NURSE MY RESPONSIBILITIES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
I am Responsible for my unit: patient care and team. I am a part of the healthcare sector that assesses, treat and maintain vital signs of emergency cases of injury, medical and post-surgical cases until help arrives from EMS.
Continuously educate nursing staff, medical attendants, site workers and ambulance drivers with basic life support, and first aid training. Provide health education like chronic disease management and follow up, diet control, COVID-19 prevention and personal hygiene to patients on site.
Proficient in providing Immediate Life Support, use of Automated External Defibrillator (AED), recognizing heart attack cases, epilepsy cases, convulsions, nursing care for unconscious patient, ECG placement and interpretation, artificial mouth breathing unit, IV insertion and nebulization.
I work in liaison with various and different departments, checking the records, observing and maintaining good working relationships. Works with a group of volunteers and guides them accordingly medical related and safety.
Carry out regular check to ensure that the linen and the rooms are clean and the equipment’s are in proper working condition. Calibration of medical equipment updates and record keeping.
I am responsible for completing medical screening for employees and follow up chronic disease cases as per company policy and Ministry of Health guidelines.
I am also responsible for staffing and shift schedules for medical staffs.
Act as a counselor to some patients by providing intellectual and psychological help thereby making them develop a positive attitude towards life which will help in their treatment.
I am contributing my duty for Health, Safety and Environment on work place.
Related patients and medical supplies issues to notify to chief nurse/ HSES managers and send request to admin office for maintenance and keep the records and follow up.
PROBLEM-SOLVING AND DECISION-MAKING SKILLS
