Employed with Cook County since January 5, 1988 in the following positions; Assistant
Chief Engineer, Operating Engineer and Mechanical Assistant. 1 was the Chief
Engineer for three Chicego Public Schools. My current position is the Chief
Engineer with Jones Lang LaSalle/State of Mlinois Building.

- Responsible for the daily operation and prevention maintenance for my staff and
myself for all the equipment in the 420,000 square foot building.
- This included the (2) 700-ton York Chillers, pumps and other telated equipment.
- Daily operation of the closed loop system for the multi-stack unit that served alt
the Liebert units in the IDF closets and the Data rooms for the 18-floor structure.
- Worked with various vendors getting proposals for all the projects over the past 2
years. This includes the build-out of the various agencies for the State of Iinois,
the LED lighting project which is 75% complete and ongoing, along with the
numerous other repairs that were completed.
- Worked with CMS on various other projects once the State Agencies were moving.

- Responsibilities also included the maintenance and repairs to the 544 Fan Power
Boxes throughout the building.
- Knowledge of the Corrigo work order system.
- Responsible for scheduling and completion of all Life Safety Equipment annually
and monthly,

March 2019 to October 2021: Sodexo-CPS, Chief Engineer for National Teachers
Academy, Ray Graham HS, and Sohn Haines.
~ Responsible for the daily operation and preventive maintenance for the 8 boilers
and 6 chillers for ai! 3 schools.
- Responsible for the daily operations and preventive maintenance for all the
HVAC, RTU’s, pumps and all related equipment.
- Responsible for all the repairs to all the plumbing and lighting fixtures for all 3
locations.

- Responsible for the daily operation and preventive maintenance of all the
equipment for the 75,000 gallon pool at National Teachers Academy.
- Responsible for contacting all vendors for quotes for work to be performed as
well as setting up the schedule for that work once the P.O."s were approved.
- Responsible for the communication for the operations of all 3 locations with the
principles, managers and CPS.
August 2018 to March 2019: LaGunitas Brewery, Engineer
- Responsible for the daily operation artd preventive maintenance for 3 high
pressure boilers and 8 chillers for the plant.
= _ Responsible for the daily operation and preventive maintenance for all the
building equipment throughout the plant.
- Responsible for the troubleshooting of all the pneumatic lines and there repairs.
- Responsible for the repairs to ail the pump seals as needed.
- Supervised a staff of 5 on the shift I was working.
September 2041 to July 2018: Cook County Facilities Management, Department of
Corrections, Assistant Chief Engineer. Criminal Courts and the Criminal Courts
Administration Building, Division’s 1, 2 (4 dorms), 3, 4, 5, 17, RTU and Central
Kitchen.
- Responsible for the daily operation and preventive maintenance for all 4
buildings, 2.5 million square foot area at the Department of Corrections.
- Purchasing of all equipment and materials needed to maintain all of these areas.
~ Responsible for coordinating with the trades for all repairs and projects in those
areas.
- Responsible for the testing and affidavits for compliance for the following Life
Safety Equipment: 4 weekly generator tests; 4 monthly hand held fire
extinguisher reports and 2 monthly fire pump test.
- Supervision, scheduling and payroll for 9 employees.
- Responsible for all documentation for all equipment and rounds for all 4
buildings.
~ Responsible for reviewing and enforcing all policies and procedures with my
staff.
April 2009 to September 2011: Cook County Hospital Services, Oak Forest
Hospital, Assistant Director of Heating and Operations
- Responsible for the daily operation and preventive maintenance of 3 chillers, and
4 boilers in the powerhouse.
= Responsible for the daily operation and preventive maintenance of all equipment
for the 1.4 million square feet for the 27 buildings at the facility.
- Responsible for the yearly EPA Emissions Reports for 4 high pressure boilers,
and 8 generators.

= Responsible for the daily operation and preventive maintenance for the water
Pump house, 15 miles of supply line, a3 million gallon and 1 million gallon
reservoir for the facility.
- Responsible for the daily testing and yearly reports to the EPA for the public
water supply.
- Supervision, scheduling and payroll for 27 employees.
= Responsible for all proposals and contracts for material, repairs and equipment
purchases for the facility.
~ Coordinate all repairs for all facility with the trades.
- Purchasing of all other materials needed for our department.
- Creating the scope of work documents for all equipment purchase and repairs
to equipment.
May 1996 to April 2009: Cook County Facilities Management, Operating Engineer
1, D.O.C. Division 9, Medical Examiner Office and Rockwell Warehouse.
Responsible for the daily operations and preventive maintenance for all the
various areas listed above, Division 9 area also included, New Cermak Hospital
Divisions 6 and 10, (totaling 900,000 square feet).
Monitored all HVAC Heating & Cooling Systems for all areas listed above,
Assisted with the trades for all equipment repairs.
Testing and Reports for all Life Safety Equipment.
- Inspect and maintain Emergency Generators.
Coordinate, schedule and assign work to staff for the maintenance in these areas.
