My name is Felix Palao and I am interested in applying for your vacant graphic designer role. In my most recent role as Creative Director at Palao Design Studio, I make it my responsibility to ensure that I’m putting out the best artwork I possibly can while maintaining a high level of creativity. It has been a pleasure to wear many hats and accomplish a client’s vision. I’ve had the logos and artwork that I have created dispalyed at sporting events around the world, via my work in the Sports Branding realm. This has enabled me to become a more well-rounded designer, and I bring years of experience to the table for a prospective employer. My work with The Third Rail NYC has allowed me to work on some dynamic projects in my role as the Director of Merchandising and Design in creating products related to the Soccer Supporter community in New York City and beyond. The range of images and products that I have created have gone from apparel, scarves and flags, to membership package design. I have also managed a small stable of graphic designers as well as a number of projects, from initial concept to production file to final in-hand product. Working for the Vladar Company as a graphic designer in the Marketing department, I worked on a variety of projects that show that I can be flexible and can create artwork for a wide variety of situations. I had the pleasure of designing packaging for their best selling movie, GENERATION IRON, as well as creating merchandise and collateral related to the title that served to launch the company as a leader in sports-related and fitness markets. I also created many of the logos and titles that are still in use after my time there. My years working in Customer Service management have also prepared me to be a leader, as I have had to manage the minutiae of a sports retail establishment, as well as parlaying that into a role as a patient care representative. These roles have allowed me to fine-tune what I do to fit the needs of the clientele that I serve. Most of all, these roles have also allowed me to develop empatheic listening and decision-making skills that benefit the teams that I have led. My biggest asset is the fact that I am a team player, and experience has taught me how to collaborate effectively, as it’s not just about my voice, but several to achieve the best result.
