I’ve worked as a server to put myself through college, and now my only child! Honestly I can’t afford a laptop to create a proper professional resume right now, but I have worked as a server for over two decades. I’m 47 now and have taken on the most challenging positions (opening to closing, training, every possible side work imaginable—yes I have had to hose blue cheese dressing off of my skid proof sketchers every single shift ).
I’ve also worked in fine dining and banquet settings, so I’m extremely versatile in different settings.
I have a BA in English Literature, speak enough Spanish, Italian and French to understand and entertain the guests, and feel that they are actually guests and should be treated as such.
Past restaurant experience includes 1995-2000 Tallahassee Applebees (in college), 2000-2003 The Ale House in Abington, MA (Not affiliated with the chain here), Applebees in Stoughton, MA, and here in Naples as well.
I also experience working at David Lawrence Center (2003-2005) as well as the Willough .
Most recently I worked for Millers Ale House and took a better paying position at DiJulios, but had some health issues that have been resolved.
I will have to get a proper resume to you, but these are the important parts of my experience thus far!
I also took time off to be a single mom for those “gap years!”
