Sr. Project Management Consultant

Metrolinx (Union Station Bus Terminal Management Software Implementation) Jan 2018 – Current Successful implementation of a state-of-the-art Terminal Management System at the New Union Station Bus Terminal (81 Bay St) which automatically assign a platform to the Go buses entering the terminal. The key modules development and business functions of Transit operations were mainly focused on achieving safe operations and enhanced consumer/customer experience by integrating and automating hardware end points of Vehicle detection, Traffic control, Passenger entrance Door Control, Drivers interface/signage. Scalability of system to support other Metrolinx operated bus terminals in the future and to accommodate Third party bus services providers e.g. (Grey Hound, CanAr and Toronto Coach) etc.

• Adhere to PMO practices and routine, mainly comprising of status reporting, financial tracking, risk management, Gating board, Resource allocation process (RAP), Procurement process for SOWs & RFP to engage vendor, and maintaining SharePoint documentation repository.

• Effectively collaborate with the construction company Hines, Capital Project Group and internal Metrolinx project teams to ensure the alignment of TMS core peripheral hardware delivery and the construction and backend infrastructure readiness are synced.

• Responsible for managing the budget of 24M for forecasting, approval of SOWs vs efforts for not to exceed contract value, and continuous tracking/reporting of disbursements vs scope and resources planned.

• Continuous track of Schedule Performance index (SPI) and Cost Performance Index (CPI) to evaluate project health vs Earned Value (EV) at any given point and maintain contingency variance not to exceed 3% throughout the project life cycle.

• Followed artefacts tailoring guide to prepare and produce documentation upon each gating board through the phases of project life cycle from initiation to closure.

• Responsible for working with technical lead, QA lead, Vendors, procurement team and development leads to create a detailed project schedule for weekly task tracking. Also develop Gantt chart/Timeline delineations for the senior leadership team for macro visibility.

Metrolinx (Integrated Command Centre Technology @ Oakville) March 2016 – Feb 2018 Audio Visual (Videowall) and End User Devices setup at the new Network Operations Command Centre Oakville. As the old Go Transit Command Centre’s facility was being demolished there was a need for greater visibility into the outside events through CCTV feeds, news channels (CP24), Canadian National Feeds and other sources of visual information which would greatly improve situational awareness. Successfully delivered the project on time and on approved 4.2M budget. Also, the desk setup for the Command Centre resources with high peformance equipment such as new laptops, keyboard, monitors, turrets, PA announcement system which would provide optimized ergonomics, usability, workspace portability, and access to information. Successfully delivered the project on time and under the approved 2.7M budget.

• Successfully managed and coordinated with over 10 vendors simultaneously to ensure requirements are understood and lead time for deliveries can be planned based on the specific phase of the project.

• Diligently adhered to Metrolinx’s procurements process and build the project schedule based on the lead time provided by the procurement team for each hardware delivery based on procurement type and cost.

• Documented all the critical resource and hardware delivery related risks at the Program level for complete SLT visibility and escalation support.

• Meticulously tracked all invoices and PO’s for each vendor individually and tracked them against the forecasted budget to avoid cost overruns.

• Organized POC desk setups for Old GTCC resources using the new equipment’s to gather their feedbacks and ensured that the final setup at Oakville NOC met the provided specification and to obtain business signoff
