Maintenance Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform preventative maintenance on ovens, grinders, hi-speed packaging machinery, extruders, conveyors, case-packers, repair same machinery during production hours. Being a "jack-of-all-trades" came in handy at this facility; installation of iron piping, repairing hydraulic driven fans in the Nitrogen freezer tunnels, repairs of various types and sizes of stainless steel conveyors and corresponding bearings, diagnosing inline weight checking scales, performing repairs on all mechanical and electric forklifts, and PLC troubleshooting were common procedures.

Troubleshooting New Britain, Van Dorn, and Bucher high tonnage molded injection machines, older machines utilizing old relay controls and solid state electronic and the newer machines using Allen-Bradley P.L.C. 2 series controllers, was one of my responsibilities.

Maintenance Mechanic

RESPONSIBILITIES Repair crust presses, ovens, conveyors, flour silos, freezers, dough proofing systems, packaging equipment. This position required frequent rebuilding of the hydraulic systems on the pizza crust presses (cylinders, directional valves, hydraulic drives, pressure and flow control valves; all Vickers brand) gas fired oven troubleshooting, conveyor repair, troubleshooting relay controlled three phase servo systems, using VOM meter to diagnose 120. 240, and 480 volt systems, outdoor high elevation silo mechanical repairs on silos, repair and cleaning of high volume pneumatic flour delivery systems.

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

In all of my previous positions management has had the luxury of being able to count on my talent of conveying training to new employees, whether they be in maintenance or production, and assimilating them with management's expectations and needs.

I attended Coyne American Institute to complement my fluent ability of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and machine shop skills with an intensive trade school education concentrating on a wide variety of electrical applications- Allen-Bradley PLC's, blueprint, ladder and relay logic reading, troubleshooting with a variety of meters, NEC codes, all three phase applications AC and DC motors and controls, basic control circuits, conduit bending and wire pulling.
