Was hired to assist with the conversion and relocation of the on prem environment to a Cloud based system in Azure. I created 2 sand box environments, one for a development area and a second localized sandbox for an audit team to recreate the production environment for testing.

Moved an on-Prem NAS into Azure storage for local company shared drives.

Moved our MS AD Domain controller, website, SQL Server instances and Apps. Worked with Sharepoint/OneDrive building new sites and MS Teams for communicating with the other teams.

Worked within MS Hyper-V, VMWare creating virtual environments

Worked alongside Dev/Ops during the implementation.

Currently participating in the rollout of a Velo Cloud based SD-Wan system at all of our stores across the globe. We are installing Velo Cloud routers and Cisco Meraki Switches. Including upgrading network connectivity to account for the increased network usage. Preparing for the retiring of our ATT MPLS to convert to cloud based network topology, Participate in daily install calls, and lend technical help when needed.

North American store network administration and support, for all of the North American store networks (1,800 locations) including telephone “POTS”/VOIP lines.

Investigate and research new technologies to improve reliability, connectivity and analysis.

Analysis and review of current store infrastructure nationwide including negotiations with vendors to ensure network connections are optimized for growth and stability.

Leadership

While at Claires I worked with the eCommerce group to lead/manage a 9 person UAT testing team for the re-platforming of their Oracle/ATG based website to the UK based BT Fresca responsive web platform.

I have worked on 3 concurrent projects (Router upgrades, SD-WAN, WI-FI) while solely managing the store networks during our new store rollouts.
