Dear Hiring Manager,
I am looking for a position that will allow me to help others maintain and or improve their health.
I am an experienced nurse with demonstrated skills in maternal/ childcare, wellborn nursery, homecare client education. I especially like to support clients who are trying to overcome health concerns such as succession of smoking, weight loss and managing type 2 diabetes.
I am a quick study with a dedication to continued education. Being highly organized and detail-oriented makes it easier to manage my own time and work independently.
In reference to the gap in employment shown on my resume, I capitalized on an opportunity to travel with my husband to gain new experiences, foster personal development, and bring a renewed perspective to my life. This period of travel allowed me to build strong connections with other individuals and cultures, which has cultivated new growth and a better understanding of my future goals. Additionally, I used this time to spend with my husband of 56 years and helped manage his type II diabetes and heart disease.
I am currently studying independently online courses to refresh my knowledge base. Since the recent passing of my husband, I am interested in seeking employment to continue pursuing my love of nursing and to continue helping others in this next phase of my life.
