My duties at Morstan started as an Administrative Asst. which soon after starting I moved into the position as an Underwriting Asst. I assisted the underwriter with any policy paperwork, phone calls, file management and faxing. Then, I moved to the policy issuance dept. where I Issued commercial general liability and garage policies. At my time in the policy issuance dept. I was promoted to Supervisor of the dept. within a year, where I supervised the policy issuance production team and trained any personnel in the dept. on policy issuance of commercial policies. Within a year of being with the company they needed to establish a paperless program where I worked with the software engineers to create an insurance format within that paperless program and assisted in implementing all forms within the program for underwriters and asst's use. I also trained all dept's on how to use the paperless program to implement forms and procedures for use in policy issuance, underwriting, cancellations, claims etc. Toward the end of my time with Morstan I started working from home issuing policies for the New York office and still carried on my position as Supervisor of Policy Issuance for one of the Florida offices as well. Always to offer support for any systems or forms training within the paperless program and with company personnel.
