The Strickland Group, Inc, Geologist (February 2006 – Present)

Provide geological support for reservoir engineering issues in an individual client setting and in litigation situations. Provide subsurface mapping and cross sections for reservoir characterization and reservoir simulation, and oil field planning for simulation forecasts. Projects have been located in various reservoirs in Texas including the Barnett Shale, Eagle Ford Shale, and Wolfcamp, New Mexico, Alaska, Gulf of Mexico, Offshore Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, Northern Africa, Offshore India, Offshore Thailand, Venezuela, Ecuador, and Offshore California.

Sigurd F. Olson Environmental Institute, GIS Tech (January 2003-May 2004)

Mapped improvement plans, parks, and wetlands for environmentally proactive organizations, using ESRI Software, in the Lake Superior Region of Northern Wisconsin. Many of the mapping projects were done in the field using a handheld Trimble GPS device.

Educational

Texas Christian University, Geology Graduate Teaching Assistant (August 2004-May 2006)

Taught introductory level geology lab classes. This included basic mapping skills, map reading, sequence stratigraphy, and basic rock and mineral identification.

Northland College, GIS Teaching Assistant (August 2003-May 2004)

Assisted in teaching an introductory class on the basics of using and understanding the concepts of GPS. This included hands-on fieldwork and demonstrations with the students.

ArcGIS/ArcMap Experience –

2003-2004 – GPS field mapping with ARC GIS post processing, building wetland and park maps, along with conservation planning maps.

2005-2006 – Generated maps of fractures and faults observed on remote sensing images and confirmed with measurements taken in the field.

2008-2010 –Map and design multi-depth horizontal wells for production in prospective oil fields in Alaska. Designed approximately 10 different reservoirs.

2016-2019 – Built precise maps of well leases and well bores. Emphasis was shown on actual locations of perforations and true paths of the wellbores in reference to ownership boundaries.

2019-2023 – using ArcCatalog to investigate attributes of .shp files obtained from various sources.
