I have six years experience in Licensed Practical Nursing, I started as a CNA eight years ago, my first job was at Pekin hospital where I worked on the med/surg floor, after doing this for a year an opportunity came up to work as a second scrub in surgery at Hopedale hospital, after working there for several months I decided to apply to nursing school, while in school I continued work as a CNA. After passing my boards I began working on an acute care/medicare hall at Pekin manor, I enjoyed working with medicare patients and helping them to get strong enough to return home. After some time I was offered a job as an MDS/careplan coordinator, I have been doing this for the past 3 years, I enjoy the work, I am currently employed at Snyder Village health care center where I do all of the medicare A and C cases, I recently took the MDS certification class and I am preparing to take my certification exam.
