Jul 2017 – Aug 2018 Volunteer at Queens Presbyterian Hospital Worked in the Pharmaceutical department in the hospital. Responsibilities were delivering prescriptions, sorting medications, and making unit dosages.

Jan 2020 – Mar 2020 Lab Research on the Broderick Probe We conducted research with Nano-biosensors that are designed to detect and treat debilitating neurodegenerative and psychiatric brain disorders. The research focused on Alzheimer’s disease. Aug 2022 – Dec 2022 Computer Science-related Research Study in information security, focusing on advancing cryptographic key management, tracing technologies, and authenticated communication in dynamic federated environments.

May 2022 – Dec 2022 Research in Microbiology - focusing on Vibrio cholerae. The research focused on understanding how pathogenic bacteria interact with their human host to develop novel therapies, with Vibrio Cholerae being our focus. Cell culture, cellular assays, DNA extraction and qRT-PCR are some techniques used.

Jan 2023 – Feb 2023 Lab in Biotechnology

The techniques that we used included DNA isolation, restriction enzyme mapping, subcloning of DNA fragments into plasmids, polymerase chain reaction, protein purification, cell culture, and other techniques of gene manipulation.

Jan 2023 – Present Neuroscience Research with Zebra Finch Songbirds Zebra finch songbirds were used to investigate the molecular cell synaptic activities required to produce birdsong. I focused on the protein ‘Sonic Hedgehog’, as a critical regulator of cell proliferation.
