Operator is responsible for opening dome, spouting truck, and loading the specified weight after setting up valves on correct product(s). Unloading responsibilities include hooking up trailer, placing drip pan under unload spot, setting up valves for correct unload tank, and maintaining proper face shield and glove usage at any point behind the trailer. Rail car procedure includes popping dome lids, hooking up steam and ensuring car lines are drained of water, taking a propane torch (if needed) and attaching elbow and hose to the belly cap, and getting proper seals on valve handle and dome lid at completion. Loading railcars involves the same process excepting that it will be spouted up from the top as a truck would. Personal responsibilities included monthly fire extinguisher checks, boiler valve purges daily and bi-weekly, maintaining boiler salt levels and ordering more salt as needed. Also trained in tank gauging, inventory taking, and entering data into an excel spreadsheet to produce a new balance sheet daily. Recent projects over fall and winter months included replacement of large rock around pumps and rail spur with screenings for ease of maintenance and transporting and disposing of over 200 latex totes by gooseneck trailer.
