Project Engineer

Managed, multiple concurrent, Capital and Expense projects from initiation through execution and closure. Projects ranged from $10,000 up to $5,000,000.00 at local level and up to $80,000,000 assisting corporate Senior Project Engineers in major plant improvements including building construction and remodel of existing structures and installation of equipment. This involved:

Conducted meetings with cross functional group in developing scope requirements for project initiation.

Reviewed equipment specifications with vendors to confirm relativity to project.

Worked closely with Engineering consultants (civil, structural, geological, and architectural) so that all city, County and state health safety, building, and environmental requirements are considered and adhered to.

Develop appropriations for all projects and their cost, detailing the reasons for the project for approval from Corporate senior strategic management. This included forecast, repairs to the facility and equipment.

Review plans, requirements, and quotes with potential contractors and vendors and awarded contracts to selected parties.

Acquired needed permits and conducted subsequent progress inspections.

Managing contractor schedules around plant production.

Monitored contractor performance, health and safety adherence.

Monthly reports on project status (physical and financial) and any deviation to either and reason.

Conduct project status meeting with plant level managers to report on on-going projects and status of appropriations.

Reconcile financials at the end of the project, establish new asset and complete closure documents.

Maintain and updated facility digital drawings (CAD) and created shop drawings for in-house and contracted fabrication of custom equipment.

Assist in 5-year Infrastructure planning for facility.

Project manager in the relocation of Vernon assets and decommissioning of the facility from Nov 2022 until June 1, 2023.

Maintenance Engineer

Daily Supervised team of 23 craftsmen and 12 laborers in support of Production and Manufacturing. This included specialized skills like, Welding and Fabrication, Machining, Electrical, Plumbing, and welfare area resupply over 2 shifts (1st and 2nd) 7 days a week.

Planned and schedule routine preventive maintenance, facility and equipment repairs.

Planned and manager plant improvement projects that directly affected plant production. This included:

Redesign and relocation of production lines.

Improved health safety and ergonomics

Facility repair for compliance with product quality and safety requirements.

Plant efficiency (Water, wastewater, Electricity, solid waste)

Responsible for Health and safety monthly and annual training of subordinate team.

Conducted annual performance reviews on craftsmen.
