2009-2012 QA Tester for Amex Project – Worldwide Credit Authorization Systems (WWCAS)
Worldwide Credit Authorization System is used for authorizing a credit request, message authentication, security, links routing and switching and it is built on the TPF (Transaction Processing Facility) operating systems. This system addresses different business functions like card authentication, card member authentication, SE / merchant processing, risk strategies.
Modules Handled:
(1) DAC – Dynamic Authorization Control
This business rules engine allows rapid response to changing fraud threats and market conditions. Used primarily to deny fraud and inappropriate credit risks. DAC also allows variables to approve certain transactions.
Provides RANT process for decisions ranging from reactive underwriting to payment processing. Created DAC to quickly respond to fraud threats, business rules are now used for several credit and fraud controls.
(2) LINKS
Links system works as an entry point and exit point of authorization transactions in and out of Amex - WWCAS. Links is mainly responsible for receiving the messages from DCP or GAN. It formats and re-constructs the messages and routes them to respective applications in CAS.
Responsibilities include:
Developed test plans and test cases.
Drafting testing reports, reducing data to key insights that helped increase team efficiency.
Communicate with product, design and executive teams through written reports and oral presentations to identify and solve quality issues.
Communicate effectively with customers and software vendors as appropriate.
Responsible for end-to-end activities of WWCAS testing for both large scale and small scale projects starting from engagement of the project.
Responsible for conducting the walk through of SIT test conditions, test approach, test strategy and test plan based on Method-1 practice.
Reviewing and updating test cases and executing the functional test cases.
Analyzing and sending test results to client and attending client calls on daily basis.
Coordinating with the different teams to solve the problems using defect-tracking process.
