After 27 years of service to the community, I retired as a firefighter in September of 2016. In my career, I have learned a lot about people and situations that can be applied to all aspects of service. During that time I have had several second jobs that have given me experience in types of industries. Including bus driving, construction, lawn maintenance and simple repairs . I am reliable, hardworking and can work well as a team player.

Currently our responsibility is to make sure that the campground is run according to protocol. It is has primitive campsites, mostly used by hunters. We check permits, make certain it is a secure campground and the gate is kept locked.

U.S. Army Corp of Engineers - Lake Allatoona

September 2018 - September 2019

My duties cover a variety of projects for all of the campgrounds and day use areas around lake Allatoona. Some of my work includes: cleaning campsites, repairing structures, using a variety of equipment to keep the campground roads clear of debris and any other duties assigned by the Rangers.

My duties included checking in and keeping track of people in the park, directing campers to sites, beach, boat ramp, playground and bath houses. Responsible for opening and closing the campground, which consisted of 150 campsites. Communicating with Rangers and other workers to fix and prevent issues. Creating reservations on computer for guests upon arrival. Making sure everyone is safe and happy.
