Tyler for Tech, September 2013-June 2014

Created a social venue that was entirely based on technology. It was open to the entire tech community in Tyler and surrounding communities. I started events on the 3rd Wednesday in different locations monthly to increase public awareness about our cause and advertise our donors.

Had weekly Wednesday meetings with the Board to give feedback and ideas how we should present at South by Southwest

Worked with the Board on setting up Tyler for Tech booth. Additionally I worked alongside the Board in promoting the benefits of living in Tyler and the need for increased tech support.

• Provided guidance and support to board members on legal matters related to the association's activities. Attended monthly meetings in Austin discussing the trend of the banking industry in Texas and the impact of current state and federal regulation.

Kept in close contact with all State Senators and House of Representatives in Austin as well as in their districts. Several times a year we went up to Washington to speak with our Senators and Representatives, as well as ones we personally knew.
