LavidaPao - Website 2023

Created 2024 calendars using my own original film/digital photos. Capturing NYC, adding magazine scraps and including a frame that is hung on my bedroom wall, onto the calendar.

ALL CAPS - Youtube Channel 2020

My two best friends and I made youtube videos, pre-pandemic. We would meet up and record ourselves doing segments that we would hear about. Sometimes we’d come up with ideas on our own. This is when I taught myself how to edit videos, create thumbnails. Being creative, creating anything like this, gave us joy.

PM’s Safety KeyChains - Business Owner 2020

In the year 2020 during the pandemic, my sister and I decided to build a business together. Main goal was to make money, which we did and later stopped providing our services. I learned so much, from buying inventory, to shipping, to filing taxes. This is something I will master in the near future.

1.Hi my name is Paola Gomez, and this is my senior year. I will be majoring in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Rio Grande Valley institution in the 2024 Fall semester. I had my first job my senior year because I wanted to help my mom out with my senior expenses but it only lasted a month till I left because my mom didn’t want me working. The summer after highschool I became a lifeguard, after summer was over I worked at a trampoline park, then a host at my uncle’s restaurant that only lasted a few weeks because around that time I agreed to help out a friend’s family food truck, then during decided to moved to San Antonio worked at Dillard’s as a sales associate. Moved back home and became a server. There are jobs missing in this storyline and it still continues. Moral of the story I’ve gained so much knowledge and experience from these positions that I’ve learned not only my role but those around me, observing restaurants, retail stores, and even the city’s parks and recreation department in how they operate. I started my own business back in 2021, learned how to buy inventory, build a website, market and advertise. I failed but now I know what and what not to do. Fashion, sustainability industries interest me, so does investing into real estate.

2.I’ve taken online courses, MGMT, INFS, ACCT, Biology. Ect. I somewhat know my way around blackboard. I would be interested in learning new technology.
