Material Scheduler (Aug.2012-Oct. 2012)

• Developing production schedules for all production equipment, expediting production as necessary. Generating all required shop floor work orders and providing status on all open orders to others as needed

• Reviews current schedules and work orders while making recommendations to determine what resources are required and how to allocate them to achieve the ideal manufacturing efficiencies

• Schedule subassemblies using Excel (resin mix, films, fabric, etc.) as needed to support prepeg production. Responsible to ensure that the product flows through the shop in a timely manner and that any issues that arise due to material availability and quality issues are addressed immediately so that customer commitments are met. This task will involve close coordination between CSR, QC, Procurement and Production Management.

• Act as the key in-plant contact for the CSR group to provide status updates on existing orders and lead times. Working closely with Production Management group to provide CSR with committed production dates on quotes and new orders based on production capacity, staffing and raw material availability

Production Planner (March 2006-April 2011)

• Utilizes MRP reports, data review and coordination with CSR and manufacturing depts. to achieve planning objectives

• Issues job/work orders to the manufacturing floor based upon historical product turn rates, booked orders and sales dept. input

• Based on MRP reports job/work orders are issued. Reschedule job orders, if needed. Communicate with CSR regarding lead times. Manage the flow of paperwork to ensure production is satisfied. Working closely with inventory control to ensure stock levels are accurate and to resolve related discrepancies

• Monitors production activity to ensure a smooth and controlled flow of materials timed to meet production requirements

• Works with Purchasing dept. to obtain and schedule materials based on production forecasts

• Responds to expedite order request forms from the CSR dept. and issue ship dates as needed and in a timely manner

• Experience with MRP/ERP systems. Proficient in Syteline and Cognos 2

• Flexible and have the ability to easily adapt to rapid changes and fast-paced, high energy environment

• Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well with cross functional teams (Purchasing, CSR, MFG, shipping/receiving, senior management etc.)

• High degree of initiative, sound judgment and problem solving ability. Able to work independently with minimal supervision

• Knowledgeable and have the ability to learn complex BOMs and drawings, schematics, product compatibility and manufacturing lead times. Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel

Material Transactor (June 2003-March 2006)

• Performed data entry and other clerical tasks in the production control function

• Sort, file, post and complete daily orders. Entering job posting transactions received from the production work cells into MRP system

• Performed material transaction against kanban items and also shipping transaction against sales orders

• Printed pack slips and pick lists for daily shipments. Reviewed and processed expedited sales order requests production

• Extremely accurate, detail oriented and highly knowledgeable of the production flow process Upholsterer (Sept.1998-June 2003)

• Manufactured custom wristrester pads for the keyboard platforms

• Product was manufactured using a variety of sized pad wood, foam and fabric using a staple gun. Pads were assembled using a custom jig
