Currently, I specialize in aerospace production and inspection within an assigned structural process. My goal is to continue within the production-assembly field as well as advance experience and knowledge in diverse areas of interest. I consider myself creative, widely read and enjoy task-oriented projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

I have maintained positions in the aerospace profession for 37 years. During my military service with the USMC, I was assigned to aircrew flight line duties which included helicopter maintenance assembly, inspection and repair. Furthermore, the years of military occupational specialty training served to develop my production assembly skills and knowledge.

1977-1981 High School Graduate, Springfield Gardens High School EMPLOYMENT HISTORY

October 1981-April: 1986 E-4, United States Marine Corps I was assigned and trained in the MOS 6113 Flight Line Mechanic for the CH-53 A/D Helicopter. My duties were to perform routine functions and repairs necessary to maintain flight status availability of the helicopters. Also, I regularly perform pre and post-flight inspections, as well as scheduled inspections and servicing. I also completed repairs and parts replacement as needed.

Furthermore, I trained in flight crew operations as well. April 1986-December 2011: Aircraft Structures Mechanic, Boeing Company, Long Beach, CA

In April 1986, I was initially employed with McDonnell Douglas which now owned the Boeing Company. I currently work as a structural mechanic, fabricator and assemble aircraft parts, and sub-components which are eventually integrated and installed within the aircraft.

I am also proficient in sheet metal assembly and fabrication of aircraft parts, using blueprints, engineering fabrication drawings and layout. My job routinely includes using power tools, namely drill motors, Quackenbush machines, Rivet guns, Huck guns, air-powered ratchets, cold-expansion tooling and countersinking.

December 2011 – Present: Aircraft Assembler, Boeing North Charleston, SC After transferring to the Charleston SC division, I expanded my skills and knowledge in areas of line production as well trained in carbon fiber reinforced plastic material assembly and installation. I currently maintain certifications for MFPP200 aircraft inspections.

I have also increased my knowledge in advanced blueprint, assembly drawings and areas of inspection.
