Water Plant Operator
Responsible to operate, monitor and maintain mechanical, chemical, instrumentation and process control systems as necessary to ensure the Water Treatment Facility is operated in a manner, which maximizes the protection of the public's health and the return on the public's investment in the City's water system.
Produce potable water, in accordance with all state and federal regulations.
Conducting water analysis tests such as, PH levels,for treatment process control.
Conduct water analysis tests to ensure safety and water quality by collecting representative water samples
Work independently and with other team members to complete repairs timely and safely.
Maintains all required records such as operating logs, chemical and repair part inventories, maintenance logs; distributes information to internal and external personnel
Create and report repairs at end of shift. Complete required paperwork, document parts and material usage.
Understand and follow plant safety rules including safe lifting practices and safe machine operation. Personal Protective Equipment is to be used where required.
