ACTIVE DUTY US ARMY
NIST level Metrology and Biomed
Sr. Instructor Writer and Sr. Training Developer; up to 14 Instructor Writers with up to 300 students; 2 years; this was at Redstone Arsenal Alabama, US Army NCO Academy and School. I (with 2 others) had responsibilities in future budgeting and managing 3 million dollar annual budget. I supervised instructor’s teaching advanced trouble shooting and repair of automated test stations for the repair and calibration of oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, GPS systems and most forms of electronics communications systems. These instructors are also technical writers and were developing the training materials for the future needs of the US Defense Department. Additional duties included Academy buildings operations and maintenance, total of 6 buildings, 2 building are 3 story 150 apartment units each with common areas on each floor. The other buildings were class rooms and offices. The turnover rate at the school was about 300 students per month maximum.
NATO Special Operations Team Chief and Lab QA Supervisor for International military team, 6 NCOs from 4 countries. The team's area of operation is Italy, Sicily, Sardinia, Greece and Turkey. We repaired and calibrated test equipment. The mobile rig was semi tractor pulling a 60 foot mobile lab. This particular job only covered all forms of communications. I was responsible for arranging transportation of personnel and equipment and hotel accommodations. . For home base operations I supervised on base communications upgrades.
Manufacturing Engineer
Danfoss Manufacturing Engineer, 60 production workers per shift. My primary responsibility was welding quality. I created extensive ISO9000 training manuals and setup procedures for operators welding compressor enclosures. These procedures are within ISO and PED standards. I preformed quality assurance testing for pressure vessels. I oversaw certification of all welders. I discovered a loop hole/way to reduce the number of UL & PED certified welders needed on site 18 to 4. This resulted in a cost saving of over $40,000 annually. We had two identical 375,000 Amp resistance welders. The primary transformer inside one welder failed. The welders had different welding fixtures. In house I made new solid copper welding fixtures/tools to keep the factory running. This allowed the factory to limp rather than shut down because it is a single assembly line factory. I used a lathe and milling machine to create these parts/tools. I was informed the last time it happened it closed the factory for 10 days.

I worked alone, under corporate engineer.
