Capable of working on drafting board as well as CAD. Have experience in Auto Cad, Bravo Draft (2D systems), Creo\Pro Engineering, Inventor and Solid Works. Most experience in Creo and Inventor.

My design experience is in gear boxes (gears, pinions, shafts and various assemblies of those components), lube systems, API lube systems, fabricated bases, fabricated gear boxes. Also have some design experience in hydraulic cylinders.

Work history

27 years with Lufkin Industries. Started out as a drafter and worked my way up Designer A. Job consisted of designing gear boxes by calculating gearsets, sizing bearings and lube systems and taking that information and generating a model along with dimensional drawings and bills of materials.

Also checked job’s when needed. Read the job file to see what the requirements were. Read spec’s when applicable to ensure all design conditions were met. Made sure the gear box met and exceeded customer’s specification.

My current job is designing hydraulic cylinders.
