As a cashier, upon arriving, I would clock in. Then go over to safe and count safe and get safe numbers. Those will be written on a daily cashier sheet.as the cashier before me is getting her paperwork ready to leave. Doing a correct count is very important for the paperwork. Numbers need to make sense, and be accounted for. Next step after getting on register,I would check coffee area for spills. Would take a store walk, checking for misplaced items, spills. Check cooler doors to be sure all is closed . Come back around and check bathrooms. Making sure all is clean and presentable for all customers. Paper is full,trash is empty. To close, count the safe. Scan lottery tickets, count drawer down make sure store is clean, floor swept, and washed. Putting up the wet floor sign, as needed. Then before leaving empty all trash in store, which is done during the shit. And all trash containers on lot is to be emptied. Then go in and clock out.As result of good service to my customers I was awarded top salesperson for my first 3 months of employment.

Bacon, and precut sandwich meats were put in their correct places. One day the meat wrapping machine was acting up. So my supervisor taught me how to hand wrap the meat packs, as tight as the machine. And to make the labels for the meat. Education
