SKILLS

I know how to use tools of all kinds. I can use an oxyacetylene torch to cut steel or a small propane torch for a plumbing task. I have a a decent set of skills in carpentry for onsite protections and more. I can measure cut and set dry wall and I’m a good taper as well. I can erect and dismantle a scaffold. I can also read blueprints. I work well with computers and can-do jobs that range from software and hardware problems – basic electrical work -plumbing and floor covering as well.

EXPERIENCE

-Signature construction group, superintendent assistant/ Labor. January2023- April 2023- while at this position I was responsible for the safety and supervision of all the trades on site as well as the construction reports while the superintendent himself wasn’t present. My task consisted of opening the site and allowing the labor on site to begin their workday. I made sure all trades on-site were signed in and submitted a their pre task forms before they began for the day. I did daily scaffold inspections that were documented with scaffold logs. I was also in charge of the general conditions on site and documented it in housekeeping logs. I maintained signage, set up fire extinguishers according to FDNY standards. I was also responsible for getting all of the garbage off of the site by requesting trucks on scheduled days to stay with in nyc dob standards.

I receive orders for the demolition and removal of debris from office buildings, apartments, commercial and or residential properties that are scheduled and permitted to be partially/fully demolished or renovated. Do short list safety checks, tool inventory, use a large array of hand held hydraulic demolition tools, such as hammer drills, chipping guns, as well as sledgehammers to sequentially remove any section of the structure in the demo plan. In addition to those tasks, I also perform fire guard duties for hot work operations such as oxygen/ acetylene torch cutting and temporary heating systems, which are fueled by LPG gases, as well as diesel fuel, during the cold weather months in nyc. I’ve also been trained in the use of a skid steer to remove steel and other debris.
