SAFETY PROFESSIONAL AND RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE:

Site Safety and Health Manager

QualSafe Solutions--St. Louis, MO August 2023—Present I serve as the Site Safety and Health Manager for GC Haskell on the Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. Corporate Hangar Project at the Lehigh Valley International Airport, Allentown, PA. I conduct Project Safety Orientations for project subcontractors; gather the required subcontractor safety documentation for the project; direct, coach, apply, and enforce the Haskell, APCI, and OSHA 1926 Safety Plans and Standards governing the site; generate the required inspection and other project forms as needed; conduct monthly ladder, fire extinguisher, first aid equipment, GFCI/electrical equipment, and fall protection equipment inspections and document them on the pertinent inspection forms; conduct daily and weekly documented behavior-based safety observations of the project's on-site subcontractors; complete and submit the Haskell-required weekly Safety Reports; conduct weekly project Toolbox Talks and other training as necessary; complete personal safety training online; render minor first aid to project personnel if necessary; ensure all project personnel are provided with, are wearing, and are properly trained to, and are complying with the project and OSHA Personal Protective Equipment requirements. Oversee the safe movements of the site’s heavy civil contractor’s equipment movement while excavating an 18’ deep trench for the site’s drainage pipe, ensure their use of proper protective systems for their personnel entering the excavation such as their trench boxes and proper sloping of the excavation, ensure that the excavation’s atmosphere is tested before initial entry and subsequent regular monitoring of its atmosphere thereafter, ensure that proper fall protection is worn by manhole entrant and that the manhole’s atmosphere is tested before entry into at several different depths inside the manhole, and ensure the excavation is properly and completely barricaded before leaving the site for the day. Ensure that the masonry scaffold is complete with compliant guard-railing and is inspected daily by the Mason’s Competent Person. Ensure that the scaffold erector/disassembler wears the required PFAS while erecting and disassembling their scaffolding at heights above 6’, and ensure that the work platform of the scaffolding has not been overloaded to avoid its possible collapse.

NC Electrical Licensed Qualifier/Former Company EHS Manager Spectrum Security Group – Concord, NC March 2023 – Present I provide my NC Electrical Contractor License for SSG to meet the legal requirements of the State of NC for SSG to conduct electrical contracting legally in the State. I advise on NEC- compliant electrical and low-voltage installations and provide OSHA/EHS oversight and compliance for the company. I performed various monthly inspections, conducted weekly company-wide Toolbox Safety Talks, and ensured that SSG employees are equipped and wore pertinent PPE on their various worksites. I conducted the training lectures; directed, observed; and coached the practical hands-on components of the training; generated, administered, and graded the final examination to students at the classes’ conclusions. I was released from the project by BCCC at the end of the shift Friday, August 27, 2021, without any explanation given to me for their actions. My duties included reviewing and editing subcontractor Activity Hazards Analyses (AHA) and writing them myself as necessary. I directed, coached, applied, and enforced the USACE/NAVFAC EM 385-1-1 Safety Standards governing the site. I also served as the Site Safety and Health Officer for Energy Systems Group on the National Institute of Environmental Sciences and Health Utility Energy Services Project, Durham, NC, starting on 12/03/2018. My responsibilities included coaching and mentoring the various subcontractor employees regarding compliance with the site-specific safety plan. Also performed safety briefings, ensured subcontractors possessed and wore all necessary PPE, and ensured all daily/weekly/monthly safety and equipment inspections are executed, recorded, and filed. I was also responsible for preparing a Weekly Safety Synopsis of each week's activities. I was also subcontracted by CORE Safety Group to Trinity Safety Group for Nicholson Construction's Additional Drilling and Grouting Program Project at the TVA Boone Dam, Kingsport, TN, that commenced on 11/05/2018. I conducted daily pre-shift safety briefings and continuous observations of night shift personnel. I coached and mentored site personnel in safety excellence, competency, and compliance with the site-specific safety standards. Then, I was contracted to Hayden Demolition as their Site Safety and Health Officer for a demolition project at the Butterball Turkey Processing Plant in Mount Olive, NC. Crowder Construction Company - Charlotte, NC August 2015 to October 2015 Megger tested conductor insulation to verify their integrity in combiner panels and inverter switch gear on a new solar farm aboard leased land on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, NC, for Duke Energy. Also, ensured lug bolts are torqued to the appropriate tolerances in both locations as well. Take voltage readings on source wiring harnesses to ensure proper voltage produced by solar panels. CCS Construction Staffing, Inc.- Raleigh, NC November 2014 to June 2015 I was contracted by CCS to GC Preston Electric Co. as the hotel fire alarm/life safety electrician on the new Stay Bridge Extended Stay Hotel and Suites Project in Jacksonville, NC. Pulled various cables through pre-installed raceways, mounted, and terminated wiring in fire alarm devices. Participated in the testing and commissioning of the fire alarm system with the Jacksonville Fire Department Marshall and Pinnacle technician. I conducted for new BDE employees and the employees of BDE's sub-contractors the Bryant-Durham Electric Company safety orientation. Ensured compliance of Bryant-Durham's safety plan, the general contractor's safety plan, and USACE/NAVFAC EM-385-1-1 safety standards by Bryant-Durham employees on the 2nd ANGLICO Intel Battalion project at MCB Camp Lejeune, NC. Ensured employee compliance with project specific Activity Hazard Assessments (AHA). Held weekly site "Toolbox Talks" for Bryant-Durham employees. Generated and maintained daily multiple Pre-Task Plans for BDE and all its subcontractors on the project and other daily and weekly administrative safety inspections and records related to the project. Edwards Electrical Service - Meridian, MS March 2010 to March 2011 I directed and oversaw the rough-in for the fire alarm system in conjunction with the contracted fire protection contractor at the new DoD/NAVFAC 3rd Army Division Headquarters Project at Shaw Air Force Base, Sumter, SC. Also, enforced and applied company, project, and USACE EM-385-1-1 safety standards compliance by electricians and helpers. Also conducted Toolbox Safety Talks. I was on this project for six months, but transferred to Camp Lejeune, NC before its completion due to my wife's medical condition

Gaylor, Inc.- Wilmington, NC October 2009 to January 2010 I directed the electrical installation of the new A-1 Administration Building on the new DoD/NAVFAC Wallace Creek- Phase 1 Project aboard MCB Camp Lejeune, NC. I also conducted weekly Toolbox Safety Talks, filled-out accident report, and administered minor first-aid when necessary. I was there from October 2009 until January 2010 when I was appointed the Field Superintendent. This project was a hundred-million dollars project, but I do not know the cost of the electrical system installation.

Military Academic Skills Program (MASP) Instructor RMHS, Inc.- Woodbridge, VA May 2005 to September 2005 Instructed U.S. Marines at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, NC in the Military Academic Skills Program. This was an intensive three-week course where I instructed U. S. Marines extensively in Introductory Algebra and Language Arts with some emphasis on Physical Science as well that aided Marines in increasing their ASVAB scores to make a lateral move into a more advanced Military Occupational Specialty upon reenlistment. Administered the pre-TABE test to Marines before the class’s commencement and a post-TABE test at its conclusion. Assigned and graded daily homework in core subjects Mathematics and Language Arts. Kept and recorded a daily attendance and grading record on each student. Thankfully, all Marines showed significant improvement in their TABE scores after taking the class. I also generated and administered tests, graded, and recorded test and homework grades, and assisted Marines individually when requested.

Sears, Roebuck, and Co., Inc.- Jacksonville, NC August 1994 to September 1999 Approached, met, greeted, and advised prospective Craftsman tool customers on making the best tool selection based on the work they need to complete, the tool’s functions and features, and the tool’s cost that all meet their needs and/or desires. Processed cash, check, and credit customer purchases and refunds through the counter electronic register ensuring customers received the proper change in return by counting their change back to them. Arranged, coordinated, and ensured customer delivery and installation details for large power tool purchases with the customer, Sears delivery crew, and trade contractors as necessary. Put up and took down sale signs and cleaned my assigned floor area as necessary. General Equivalency Diploma- GED Preparatory Instructor Coastal Carolina Community College- Jacksonville, NC May 1997 to September 1997 Instructed adult students of varying ages and learning levels in the subjects pertinent to sitting for and passing the GED examination in lieu of a high school diploma to better prepare the students to search, apply, and secure better employment. A required Daily Attendance Roster and GED test results were recorded, kept, and submitted to the CCCC Continuing Education Director for the State-required proper documentation. Most of my instruction was concentrated in the critical and more difficult subjects of Mathematics and English/Language Arts for the duration of the course. Homework was assigned frequently and graded in class to check and ensure each student’s adequate progress in their studies. Pepsi Cola Route Vending and Fountain Accounts Truck Route Salesman Minges Pepsi Cola Bottling Group -- Jacksonville, NC April 1990 to March 1994 Safely delivered canned Pepsi soft drinks to and refilled vending machines with product across Onslow County, NC, and removed all monies from each machine keeping the monies from each individual machines separate from others in money bags and safely delivered all monies back to warehouse office daily for counting and reconciliation for each account. Safely delivered Pepsi products boxed fountain syrup to restaurant accounts in Onslow County and received payment from the restaurant managers for every delivery. Generated an invoice for each vending and fountain delivery using the onboard computer/printer for the customer and for Pepsi records.
