Job Responsibility: -

Looked after the Operations & Mechanical Maintenance activities in Material Handling & Container Terminal Department having following equipment’s-

Port Equipment’s (Ship to Shore Unloader, Rubber tyre Gantry Cranes), Kalmar,04nos, Liebherr Crane (LPS-600) Conveyers (Trough conveyers), Dust Collection system, Rotary Equipment’s, Maganatic Separator, Fire suppression system, lift elevators, Utility system.

Technical Support: -

• Responsible for Department Maintenance Planning.

• Responsible for Spare Material Planning and to identify and recommend equipment / systems for procurement, provide technical specification and perform technical evaluation of equipment.

• Responsible for all scheduled preventive maintenance.

• Responsible for Adani Hazira port Jetty Offshore & Onshore inspection at regular interval.

• Responsible for spares procurement of Offshore & Onshore Equipment.

• Regular inspection of site activities.

• Ensure availability of Port Equipment’s in order to minimize demurrage charges.

• Dismantle, assemble and troubleshooting of machines (i.e. Hydraulic system, hydraulic Pumps, Hydraulic Motors, Gear Boxes, Pulley sheaves, LT Wheels, Couplings, Conveyors etc.).

• Increase mean time between failures & reduce mean time to repair equipment’s to increase productivity.

• Basic knowledge about PLC.

(1) Worked with M/s Qatar Steel Company, Doha, Qatar as a Mechanical Engineer from November, 2013 to April 2020.

Looked after the Operations & Mechanical Maintenance activities in Material Handling System Department having following equipments-

Two Stacker Reclaimers, Port Equipments (Ship to Shore Unloader, Gantry Cranes), Liebherr Crane,200 Conveyers (Trough conveyers, Sidewall Conveyers), Bucket Elevators, Chain Elevators, Dust Collection system, Rotary Equipments, Vibrating Screens, Maganatic Separator, Fire suppression system, lift elevators, Utility system, Cold Briquetting Unit.

Process Flow Raw Material (Oxide Pellets, Limestone) Receiving from Ship and unloading through Ship Unloaders Stack in yards through Stacker Reclaimers Reclaiming Raw Material and feed to DRI Plants--- DRI feed to Electric Arc Furnaces.

Project Execution: -

Completed project and commissioning in DR Plant with following equipments -

Conventional Conveyors, Dust Extraction System, Electrical Hoists, Sump pumps.

Technical Support: -

• Responsible for all CAPEX & OPEX projects in the department.

• Ensure effective commissioning and follow up of all new projects.

• Responsible for Department Maintenance Planning.

• Responsible for Spare Material Planning and to identify and recommend equipment / systems for procurement, provide technical specification and perform technical evaluation of equipment.

• Responsible for all scheduled preventive maintenance.

• Responsible for Qatar Steel Jetty Offshore & Onshore inspection at regular interval.

Project Execution: -

Completed Project & Commissioning of Bulk Material Handling System for Blast Furnace and Corex Plant with following Equipments -

Conventional Conveyors, Stacker Reclaimers, Dust Extraction Systems, Vibrating Screens, Vibro feeders, Belt Weigh Maganatic Separator,

Technical support: -

• Responsible for Maintenance Planning of the department.

• Responsible for all scheduled preventive maintenance.

• Follow up with the concerned party and commercial department for the availability of material at right time.

• Regular follow up with the contractor party for erection.

• Inspection of site activities.

• Inspection of Conveyor elevation, center line, diagonal, Belt Laying & Belt Vulcanizing, Drive Alignment inspection before Commissioning.

• Doing all the required tests while commissioning so the equipment capacity can be determined in reference with department requirement.

• Follow up with the supplier for spare requirement to maintain the inventory level in limit.
