PROFILE
From owning my own business for the last 10 years I have had the privilege of learning several lessons that apply to going back to being a nurse. Within in the time that I have been out of nursing I have had to manage my own time as well as others that I employed, communication with customers, budgeting for the business, data entry and advocating for the animals I was in charge of. All of these experiences went back to my training to be a nurse and have led me back to my passion of nursing.
EXPERIENCE
NURSE,HOSPICE OF THE BLUEGRASS, FLORENCE, KY - 2008-2009
In home patient care including but not limited to administering medications, personal
hygiene, and educating the family members. I loved my time with hospice, being there for
the family to help the understand the dying process was a very rewarding experience.
OWNER, IDLEBROOK FARM LLC UNION KY - 2009-CURRENT
I started riding professionally and opened my own horse back riding operation in 2009. I
am responsible for training of the horse and students as well as the care for all the horses
on the property. We also travel a lot during the competition season all over the country. I
also had the facility approved to be able to quarantine the imported horses from out of the
country. This included scheduling vet appointments, trailering and flights of the horses,
daily medical treatment upon arrival.
PHLEBOTOMIST, LABCORP, LEXINGTON KY — 2007-2008
This was a traveling position from different nursing homes. I would go in and have
a list of blood drawls to make and have to go into the patients room and perform
this on our own. I learned a lot of time management at this position since I was on
my own nightly and I could have 1 blood drawl or 20 at each individual nursing
home that all had to be completed before breakfast.

SKILLS
Although I have been working for myself for many years now i feel as though that has only
helped shaped me into a better employee. Owning your own business and being the sole
person responsible for several moving pieces that go along with it has broken my skills to
bring more to the table in a work environment. These are just some of the things I believe I
have learned:
Teamwork
Flexibility
Problem Solving
Communication
Organization
Time Management
People Skills
Proficient with computers
Data Entry including billing
Work Ethic
