Rehabilitation and redesigning of Interchange 6 on I-291 and Burnett Road by designing an additional left lane of 11 (ft) width because of high volume of traffic and crashes.

Redesigning of very sharp Shawinigan drive ramp by defining new horizontal and vertical geometry, alignments and with the design speed of 30mph because of considerable number of crashes.

All the designs were made with the requirements by AASHTO green book. Radius, run-off and run-out lengths, and taper lengths were designed by considering AASHTO green book.

Profiles and construction plans with the horizontal and vertical alignments were given by MassDOT formats.

Improvements like proper lane markings, warning signs and actuated signals near the location were proposed for the heavy traffic and accidents preventions.

Work Experience

Teaching Assistant, University of Massachusetts Lowell, USA Feb-May 2022

Worked as a TA in Geomatics (undergraduate). All duties including mentoring, lab assisting, grading, helping students with Civil 3D, and assistance to the faculty.

Lab included Dam design, calculation of dam volume by civil 3D, basic design of rural roadway by horizontal and vertical alignments, design of gas pipeline by giving minimum invert value.

Worked as a Research assistant on a project alongside with 2 professors and with the MassDOT. The project was about how to use autonomous drones for the emergency response and accident reconstruction process.

Found out the best autonomous and semi-autonomous drones suitable for the emergency response and write a literature review on UAVs application in traffic disasters.

I determined the situations like BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) in which autonomous drones can be used by predetermined flight path and uses GPS way points to navigate.
