CBM (Coal Bed Methane) Project

The CBM block SP(N)-CBM-2005/III, Covering 609 sq.km., is located in area of Sohagpur Coal fields of South Rewa basin in Madhya Pradesh. Sohagpur area is well established for CBM potential. Roles & Responsibilities include:

Well site operations drilling, coring, logging and core sample collection.

Regional block analysis for Planning & identifying the corehole locations, mapping & evaluation of exploration Prospects.

Supervising the collection, packing and dispatch of cuttings & coring samples.

Describing and recording the lithological assemblages encountered in the well.

Identification and collection of Coal Core samples for Desorption analysis test.

Integration & Interpretation of core hole & Test well data.

Well correlation, Coal seam identification and coal seam correlation.

Well prognosis and well completion reports, Logs for coreholes and test/pilot wells.

Study & interpretation of wells production data for graphical analysis, production forecasting, well performance parameters and development planning.

To provide advisory support in geological aspects to drilling division.

Preparation of proposal, Selection & Staking of core hole and test well locations based on geological parameter.

Prepare and update Geological Maps, Approachable road survey and Topographical survey of the block area.

Responsible for E&P division Geodatabase maintenance Sasan Coal Mine (Moher & Moher-Amlohri Extension Opencast Mine-Singrauli) Sasan Coal Mine is a approved mine plan capacity of 20 million tons per annum. It is the largest private sector coal producer & the largest operating coal mines in the country by volume calculated. on an average 60,000 tons of coal is produced per day.

Roles & Responsibilities include:

Updating of Geological model for coal Production & Quality Improvement in MINEX software in conformity with the running mine.

Prepare, Monitor & coordinate coal dig plan accurately on short & long term basis.

Ensure coal quality and dispatch quantity in line with requirement of Power Plant.

Coal Quality assessment for annual grade declaration in compliance to Coal Controller, Govt. of India on fortnightly basis.

Internal assessment of coal quality in coordination with Chemical Laboratory at Power Plant for dispatch sample on Daily /weekly basis from respective seam of running face of the mine.

Preparation of coal samples as per standard operating procedures for coal sampling & Sulphur reduction plan from coal face as well as OLC.

Support / assistance to Environment Department pertaining to chemical analysis of coal & its impact, hydrogeology & geomorphology of the existing mine.

Coordination & Supervision of Survey activities related with routine geo-morphological studies for updating geological model.

Coordination With Outside Agencies for coal quality & geological model of the existing mine, coal analysis on regular basis, monthly compliances in respect of coal quality for grade declaration pertaining to royalty payment to Govt.of India.

Supervision of Coal Sampling Room as per guidelines of CCO, Kolkata. LNG ( Liquefied Natural Gas) Bangladesh Project

The project consists of 750 MW combined Cycle Gas Based Power Plant to be set up near Dhaka & 500 MMSCFD FSRU based LNG Receiving Terminal in Bangladesh.

Roles & Responsibilities include:

Geotechnical Investigation Surveys for LNG Terminal at Bangladesh to determine the engineering properties of the soil at the anchor locations & for pipe line route.

Associates & monitored the drilling of both offshore & onshore boreholes at Jetty, Trestle & channel locations respectively.

Study & description of core Samples, Standard Penetration Test & Piezocone Penetration Test etc. Chitrangi Power Plant Project

Carried out the Land acquisition, Geological & Geotechnical investigation, Topographical & DGPS surveys during setting up of a Coal based Thermal mega power project at Chitrangi, Madhya Pradesh. Reliance Industries Ltd

Project Title: 3D seismic Data Interpretation and 1Dimensional Petroleum System Modelling in the study area of Krishna Godavari Offshore Basin.

3D Seismic Data Interpretation: Structural and stratigraphic interpretation of 3D-seismic data, Tracking and Mapping of various horizons, Generation of Isopach maps of different horizons, Generation of TWT Structure maps of different horizons, Generation of Strat-amplitude maps of different horizons & Manual Fault Picking.

1D Petroleum System Modelling: Integrated Geological and Geophysical study of Petroleum Exploration, Mapping and Modelling of Petroleum system, Study of Litholog, Biostratigraphy, Geochemical data and Seismic data, Calculation of Paleowater depth, Sediment Water Interface Temperature etc, Generation of Burial History, Thermal History and Maturity Models, Calibration of the models with Temperature and VRO Data.
