Qualifications:

Experience remotely controlling overhead cranes to stack and unstack steel plate, loading and unloading plate on conveyor system, and loading and unloading plate on trucks and rail cars

Knowledge and expertise using burning equipment and hand grinder to cut and prepare plate samples for testing

Tag and mark plate knowledge and experience

Extensive experience entering data into computers

Operated electric power forklift (clamp, slips sheet, double fork), pallet jack and many other materials handling equipment

Picked customer orders for shipment ensuring that the correct number and type of product is loaded and shipped

Efficiently unloaded inbound shipments and moved product to storage and outbound shipment locations and loaded appropriate transport vehicles

Assisted in physical inventories as directed

Ensured proper stock rotation

Performed pre-operational daily safety check of forklift before operating the equipment and complete required paperwork

Changed and charged the forklift battery as needed

Adhered to all safety mandates and proper procedures

Estimated angles and dimensions for loading and unloading

Ability to understand and provide parts subsidy when necessary for locomotive

Knowledge of solvent use to remove grease and oil from body of engine and parts

Strong aptitude and ability to lift heavy objects, physically fit with 70 lb capabilities

Experience working long hours, 12 hour shifts with rotating days
