I am writing this letter in great enthusiasm after learning about the medical liaison position at Neurocrine Biosciences. With over 15 years experience in a hospital clinical based setting, I have acquired a comprehensive skill set and in-depth understanding that will make an impact in this role.

I started my career in a general hospital in Philadelphia, where I have been exposed to several applications of pharmacy in areas such as medical intensive care unit, critical care units, post -anesthesia care units, operating rooms, emergency and general medicine, pediatrics and oncology. The last few years I have been able to hone on my pain skills by working at a prestigious and nationally ranked orthopedic hospital in New York City. I have encountered and overcome challenges regarding patient care such as, physician order review, controlled substances inventory, formulary management, back ordered medications, implementing protocols and procedures related to medications, precepting pharmacy students and educating other staff members on new programs. I able to further my oncology skill set by working in a oncology clinic in Florida by not only preparing chemotherapy medication but also participating in counseling and working with providers to produce regimes. Also while Florida I was able to further elaborate on my skills and have participated in clinical ICU rounds. While at this other prestigious institution managed vancomycin, aminoglycoside, tpn and anticoagulation consults. I have a strong interest in providing through and very detail oriented services and care to patients and other health care professionals. I can offer your institution a genuine interest in patients and positive health care outcomes.

I have acquired experience in pharmaceutical industry, through an internship that was extended due to positive feedback from the staff. During this experience and throughout my career I have gained understanding of the vital role and resource, medical liaisons play in the success of a company. Given an opportunity as medical liaison, I would look forward to work on a product lifecycle, assist in ensuring the products are utilized effectively and to serve a scientific peer to the medical professionals.
