● Interact with psychiatric team including unit psychiatrist, therapists, nurses, medical doctors, pharmacists, outside facilities and other departments as needed

● Obtain doctor’s orders over the phone, typing them into the eMar system per hospital procedure

● Take patient vital signs recurrently, entering the results into hospital tracker

● Pass medications to patients according to scheduled times, ensuring patients receive the appropriate medications and correct doses

● Administer insulin injections to diabetic patients

● Organize and re-stock medication room as needed

● Obtain signatures from patients on medication consent forms

● Counsel patients in crisis, helping to de-escalate and educate individuals on emotional regulation, coping skills and problem solving
