Negotiated with vendors for most cost-effective pricing on procurement of satellite trucks for transmission space, fiber or satellite, for most major NBA broadcasts. Managed transmission of games for live broadcasts domestically and overseas, including Finals, All-Star Weekend, Europe, China Live, and USA Basketball. Oversaw booking of SNG crews and facilities for press conferences, sometimes on a moment’s notice. Worked with NBA teams and local broadcast partners to coordinate backhaul services, radio distribution, and signal acquisition for League Pass and international distribution. Managed hiring and training of freelance personnel for operation of NBA Game Rooms and daily operations of NBA TV International.

ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE

Senior Manager, Broadcast Operations, 1999-2009. Managed operations of NBA TV, first league-operated television network, initially launched in 1999. Acted as operations and production manager for special events, such as China Games, Europe Live, and USAB. Booked live press conferences, video news releases, remote two-way interviews, voiceovers, tape play-outs, and satellite media tours. Trafficked all TNT inbound and outbound circuits, and provided daily programming grid for NBAE TOC. Served as contact for broadcast partner's ABC, ESPN, and TNT/NBA TV. Reviewed nightly transmission with NBAE, CMR, and TOC. Handled TOC operating systems and software. Managed satellite and fiber transmission.

IN DEMAND LLC, New York, New York, Manager, Operations, 1997-1999. Acted as technical liaison for Ascent Media operations and engineering and traffic departments, overseeing daily on-air operation of six-channel, pay-per-view network serving over 750 full-time cable affiliates. Managed flow of information pertaining to scheduling, traffic, and live events for iNDEMAND and Ascent Media. Coordinated and supervised hundreds of live events per year.

Supervisor, Operations, 1995-1997. Executed clearance of full-time and event-only affiliate authorizations and de-authorization control. Maintained technical database and coordinated acquisition and quality assurance screenings of features. Prepared department materials for monthly affiliate marketing kits and chaired monthly reconciliation meetings between affiliate relations, finance, event sales, and operations departments.
