Job Objective:

Provide technical assistance for the efficient operation of the PIAC Fleet of Aircraft Engines. Ensure that all the design work are sound and in compliance with PCAA Air Navigation Orders, CAA PAK Airworthiness requirements and Airworthiness Notices. Evaluate and recommends modification from engines manufacturers and component vendors to improve the performance and reliability of engines and its components. Carry out studies on the operation of PIAC Fleet to improve their performance. Othe duties and responsibilities are assigned by management.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Past 12 Years

Complete overhauling/Repair of Auxiliary Power Units (APU) of Model GTCP 85-129 series, GTCP 660-4, TSCP 700-4/5, GTCP 331-250 series .

On-wing/Test Bench troubleshooting, Borescope and fuel nozzles replacement of GTCP 331-500 (B777) APU and above mentioned APUs and PW100 series engines

On-wing/Test Bench Troubleshooting, Borescope and HSI of PW 127 series Turboprop Engines.

Coordinating and supervising work of mechanics and technician. Current Scenario:

Responsible for lease return of engines & APU.

Report major technical issues to higher management.

Issue worksheets, Bill of work and Workscoping is the major Task.

Updating Mod, SB and AD record.

To inspect the spare parts and tools used to repair APUs/Engines.

Making sure that appropriate spare parts are used and the APU / engine is correctly repaired.

Make availability of data for C of A with respect to engines and APUs to CAA PAK.

Issue Certificate of Release to Service to the above mentioned jobs. Educational Qualification:

Masters in Public Administration from University of Karachi, 1999.

Masters in Physics from University of Karachi, 1995.

CAA (Pak) Approvals: 2.4A29, 2.4A28 and 2.4A10.

GE 90-94B/115 Module replacement Shop Course and Borescope inspection from PIA Training Center.

CF6-80C2 Shop Course and Borescope Inspection from PIA Training Center.

Human factor and Air-legislation course from PIA training center.

Three years Apprenticeship in Aerospace from PIA Training Centre.

One year Diploma in Electronics and Communication from PAF training center SOE.
