Projects Coordinator
Facilities, Building and Safety Engineering
Accomplished Project Coordinator providing support of maintenance activities. As a project-focused engineer, I work alongside fully qualified maintenance technicians to learn (and apply) the skills of the trade. My responsibilities are to assist with a variety of duties, including planning, scheduling; installing equipment, maintaining electro-mechanical systems, and repairing machines. In the past, I have architected and implemented enterprise-scale IT and Security solutions. I currently perform strategic and tactical coordination actions. These coordination efforts also involve various building automation systems:
Collaborate with assigned Facilities workers, entered process updates into logbooks as directed; tracked these process documents in various software tracking applications (CMMS). Notified various internal/managerial personnel as appropriate (including escalations). Greatly improved logging, helping ensure business continuity and safety.
Investigate and respond to safety concerns across Facilities, often working with the senior faculties team if malfunction was internal and on-site. This greatly improved operational communication for future Work Orders (WOs), saving 250+ hours.
Identify and verify malfunctional units (whether HVAC, Mechanical, Plumbing or Electric), reporting and logging discrepancies. This fostered inter-departmental data collection for improved operational efficiency (and energy savings).
Updated Utilities logs as tenants were brought online (ad-hoc). Recommended Facility energy enhancements. Also helped me learn “How” energy usage in the building is trending (Level-1 energy audits). Saved approximately $5000/yr per facility.
Help recommend and author various sections of a Master Data Sheets (MDS) manual, including various elements of physical safety measures (including but not limited to chemicals). Improved our safety record, reduced accidents by 8%.
