PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
MAY 2013-CURRENT
CONSTRUCTION FOREMAN & SUBJECT MATTER EXPERT (SENIOR PADBUILDER), P&R Exploration – Smithers, BC/Skookum Exploration services – Kelowna, BC
As the Subject Matter Expert and Construction Foreman for P & R Exploration, I was responsible for the overall construction and completion of over 800 pad structures and work platforms throughout Western Canada.
Most recently, for the 2022 Exploration Season, I was selected to be the Foreman overseeing Enduro Metals drill and helipad construction in BC’s Golden triangle. My work was recently featured in Coring Magazine due to the challenging grade and high level of skill needed for extreme locations where heli and drill pads are required to be built.
In my scope of responsibilities, I coordinated the safe and efficient movement of all materials to and from project sites (most of which were remote and only accessible by helicopter). In addition, I was also directly responsible for overseeing the safety of my crew and each build in its entirety.
***One of the projects I lead was the construction of helipads and work platforms on BAT Construction’s Parks Canada Snow Net installation.
I am regularly called on to advise and provide expertise at various challenging exploration projects in the Northwest BC region.
2008-2012
LEAD PADBUILDER, cjl enterprises – smithers, BC
2005-2007
CONSTRUCTION FOREMAN, norson construction – kamloops, BC
2002-2006
CARPENTER - CN RAIL CREW, acres Enterprises – kamloops, BC
During my time at Acres, I worked on a variety of projects providing slope stabilization, retaining walls, and tiebacks for CN rail’s main rail line. As a part of a hand-selected crew, I assisted with all facets of slope stabilization, some of which included hi pressure shotcrete, pressure grouting operations, and reinforcement of existing walls.
