Laboratory Technician/Medical Technologist

Collect human (specimens, urine, whole blood) samples for Processing, build and scan into loads/slides/aliquots/kits preparation and staining. Study preparation and maintaining studies assigned to person thought the entire process. Prepare blood smears and perform re-checks as directed using LTP when necessary.

Provide Lab Team with study processing binder, study assessments regarding persons’ individual study. Windows, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Share Point, Tracker, etc.)

Ensure all duties are accomplished in compliance with all Distribution Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards as well as HIPPA Laws and FDA Law guidelines.

Accession and label all paperwork, specimen slides, tubes, etc. in ClinSpark and proper Processing Logs

Shipping human specimens domestic and international via FedEx, UPS, and World Courier.

Perform all required quality control per QA guidelines including all instrument maintenance and temperature charts subject to review. (Archiving, dailies, Covid Count, Data, Study Builder logs) Providing accurate clinical trials study information details to all departments when requested.

Cross-train and develop knowledge of multiple specialties within department/lab (Operations CRC, OC, CRA, Data, Safety and Pharmacy Teams). Reads, understands, and follows applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), including safety and quality procedures. Maintains clean and organized work area (centrifuges, freezers, dry ice log, refrigerators, etc.) Inventories restock of supplies as needed. Participates in improving lab efficiency, quality, and cooperation. Consult with senior peers on non-complex Hematology and other Safety requirement tasks to learn through experience. Hematology/Urinalysis Technician I/Parasitology Lab Aide (Overnight)

Collect animal (specimens, urine, blood) samples from Processing, build and scan into loads/slide preparation and staining.

Assist with prepping Avian / Exotic specimens as requested. Spin manual hematocrits. Prepare blood smears and perform re-checks as directed using LTP when necessary.

Set up para loads at a rate of 75/hour and Fcombo set up at a rate of 65/hour.

Accurately label processing tubes when building loads.

Split specimens for Giardia ELISA when required.

Perform all required tests including Destiny Testing, including PT and PTT, Fibrinogen, UA Front End, Plasma protein and Feline blood typing. Equipment verification with control samples. Responsible for accurately matching slides with respective TRF’s.

Build cytology and path review to loads per protocol following Cyto schedule and make sure Load Distribution Log is completed accurately every shift. Find missing specimens. Print and reconcile queue list. Properly transfer Cytology table loads as required.

Accession and label all paperwork, specimen slides, tubes and jars. Dispose of old fecal specimens and library all samples. Gross and prepare smears, mono-layered cytospins and cell blocks.

Packing cases for in-house pathologists and for transportation. Monitor and reconcile pending, distribution list and complete the daily distribution email

Working closely with a dynamic Project team, dealing with clinical operations to manage clinical drug supply chain availability for assigned projects.
