Resume:

Hank Erkenbeck

Industry Experience:

Washington Mutual 1990-2008

Performed various jobs during my time at WAMU. Started on the retail side in the bank’s management training program. Managed 2 financial centers and handled all the mortgage lending. In 2006 I moved to the lending side and originated mortgage loans with a partner until the bank dissolved on 2008.

Wells Fargo 2008-2010

Began as a loan officer and then moved to the roll of production partner. I was unhappy with the size of the company and the fact there were so many layers to navigate to get decisions on loan approval, exceptions and the general loan process.

Met Life Home Loans 2010-2012

Worked as a production partner for 2 loan officers assisting with making sure their loans were moving smoothly through the origination, processing, underwriting and closing process. Handled marketing to generate new business and referred any of my customers to the loan officers. Met Life decided to exit the mortgage business and our office moved together to HomeStreet Bank.

HomeStreet Bank 2012-2019

HomeStreet had a very competitive construction/permanent program which was very attractive to our team because a large part of our business was and continues to be custom construction lending. We were able to close many construction and portfolio loans. In early 2019 HomeStreet decided to downsize and move their mortgage origination to their financial centers. This decreased the size of their mortgage bank by 75%.

Homebridge Financial 2019-2021

The mortgage arm of HomeStreet was purchased by Homebridge and we have continued to use the HomeStreet construction correspondent product for our construction clients. I continue to support a 2-member team through the loan process. I want to make sure the loan officers are free to prospect and ultimately meet and exceed their goals.

First Federal 2021-2023

Originated residential purchase, refinance and construction loans. Helped my customers navigate through the loan process from origination to closing. In September of 2023 First Federal decided to close their lending office in King County and I was laid off.
