Petroleum Engineer with 9 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, trained in the Reservoir area with extensive knowledge in well performance, production and exploration of extra heavy crude for horizontal wells with a BCP lifting system. As a strength technical skill, it has the ability to handle large volumes of data in Excel (Expert Level) and / or software for interpretation in different areas such as: monitoring of wells, diagnosis of abnormal parameters of well performance, well testing (Analysis of pressure tests), well testing (planning, design and interpretation of production tests per well, cluster, zones and field in general), calculation of field potential, evaluation and implementation of EOR (planning, design and interpretation of new technologies ).

Technically prepare for:

Evaluating and validating rock fluid properties and apply them to the understanding of the reservoir and its productivity per well, cluster and field.

Strong criteria about well productivity for take decisions with geosciences department and define new drill proposals. Also, strong criteria to take decisions during the real time drilling.

Manage and result evaluation of OFM tool for management of profile production taking aware about sand production, water production and short falls from production departments. Even without OFM I can use excel because I manage this tool as expert.

Solid knowledge for domaining software like Kappa and PamSystem for well testing and characterizer drain area, reservoir pressure, permeability, skin factor and possible limits of the reservoir to concatenate with geosciences and production data the behavior of the test.

Manage and result evaluation of PIPESIM to define the optimum pressure values per each node to achieve the right optimization plan per well and their impact in the net built.

Solid concepts about production, well optimization and reservoir to define well performance concepts fitted to the needs of the field.

Skills to manage numerical simulators like IMEX-STARS-GEM (CMG) and ECLIPSE Black Oil and Thermal (SLB) to evaluate and predict different scenarios for optimum reservoir management

Wide experience in non-reactive matrixial stimulation ranging from the selection of the surfactant, selection of candidate wells, post- results evaluation and evaluation for failure mitigation

Technical skills and leadership to evaluate and execute EOR projects according to the field needs. Pilot projects leads: CSS and Polymer injection.

Criteria, vision and structure of business plan from reservoir perspective, and also leadership the departmental activities to achieve successfully the plan monthly and annually.

Important studies within the organization to increase hydrocarbon production and consideration in the annual production profiles:

Cycle Steam Stimulation (CSS) for 3 wells as pilot project selecting well, selecting company, startup of the project and following and evaluation. Main issues to handle: vapor quality, soaking time, time changing completion, operation parameters to start up and during the evolution under response of the wells supported on real-time sensor data response, also the neighboring wells was monitored because the closeness was high between them. The geology, especially thickness of the sand and heterogeneity, was critical for pre-evaluation and results.

Polymer Injection, also in charge of the project, especially during the following to match the result with cost. This project I presented in the 38th annual Workshop and Symposium, IEA-EOR. Riviera Maya, Mexico – under the name A Look at Polymers Flood Pilot Test in Petrocedeño

Impact of speed operating parameters of the BCP outside the recommended on the BHP of the well, cluster, field zones and field in general.

Evaluation of the sand production of the field in general to define mitigation, since the production oscillated between 6 and 9 tons per day, negatively impacting the surface equipment

Reactivation of wells categorized as disincorporated by water and sand. Taking pressure taps through the casing to define liquid level, interference studies with real-time data of parameters of neighboring wells vs. historical production.

Determination of the cause of why non-reactive matrix stimulation is effective in a number of wells that vary over time and not in others. Among professional achievements, there was an average annual growth of 40% in positions held, starting as: field engineer, reservoir engineer, supervisor of the Reservoir planning unit and finally formally as Reservoir Superintendent. The outstanding technical achievements together with the personnel management capacity allowed the assignment of responsibilities for the fulfillment of the scheduled guard role of Operations Manager and alternate Technical Manager. The last formal position and the management positions filled allowed the development of the administrative training necessary to intertwine the technical link with an economic vision and its impact on the company.
