Experience

Mercy Health Lorain

P CA started in june

I help assist patients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and helping those who cannot feed themselves. I also assist with transferring the patient from their bed to chairs. I make beds and restock patients rooms with gloves, bedding, and fall risk kits etc. At mercy health I was hired as a float so when I trained down in the ER I fell in love with working there. unfortunately, there were no open PCA positions down in the ED. So I’ve decided to look at other hospitals, my reason for looking for another position at a different hospital is because the staffing department at Mercy has not been very understanding when it comes to me needing to be off days of work at a specific day and time due to my classes. I’m hoping to work somewhere where I feel comfortable and not overworked
