Assisted Aquatic Veterinarian in conducting necropsy on deceased turtle, successfully determining cause of death. Rescued sea turtle, prepared special tank, performed ultrasound, and assisted Aquatic Veterinarian in treatment plan. Conducted animal husbandry tasks such as daily inspections of tanks treating sick or injured sea animals including stingrays, nurse sharks, jellyfish, and loggerhead turtles. Prepared and administered meals daily that catered to the needs of each animal. Managed the aquarium quarantine and filtration, while administering medication to quarantined animals to assist in adaptation. Designed aquariums and continually transported animals from one tank to another, which required predatory and habitat knowledge. Developed conversation plans and provided recommendations to school-aged children and adults during Aquarium Lab and Dock tours. Utilized a research vessel to collect various specimens while assisting in analyzing them and/or feeding them to animals. Excelled in calculating and maintaining a proper environment for animals, taking the salinity, temperature, and PH levels of specific tanks. Created profiles of sea creatures which were featured on social media platforms. Storm prepped aquarium for Category 4 Hurricane Idalia.
