Led design, installation, modification, and repair tasks, ensuring a safe and operationally efficient environment. Cabling Expertise. Managed and evaluated CAT 6E and fiber cabling systems, ensuring compliance with professional, departmental, and TIA standards. Infrastructure Oversight. Supervised the design, selection, and configuration of computer racks, UPS, CRAC, and generators, guaranteeing balanced loadings and standard compliance. Team Collaboration. Managed Data Center Operations of over 100 thousand square foot data center space and performed Project Management for data center construction for this leading provider of end-to-end optical network and Internet infrastructure solutions. Supervised and mentored a technical team, maintained solid working relationships with internal/external customers and vendors, and ensured service levels were within requirements. Successfully headed construction activities of new state-of-the-art Internet Exchange facilities (ISX) in Seattle and Boston. Supervised installation of LAN/WANs, routers, switches, hubs, and cabling, including patch panels, fiber, CAT6, raised floor, customer cages, and computer racks. Developed work plan, staffing, and resource allocation for each phase of the project. Created a disaster recovery plan. Led the transition of the Alaska Pipeline telecommunications system from Novell to Windows NT client/server environment, streamlining operations and enhancing efficiency. Disaster Recovery. Developed and implemented robust disaster recovery plans and policies, ensuring business continuity and data protection. SLA Establishment.
